Job Description:
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a strong background in treating substance use disorders (SUD) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care in both outpatient and integrated settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnose mental health and substance use conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic and addiction medications.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, social workers, therapists, and case managers.
- Provide crisis intervention support and risk assessments.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, substance use recovery, and medication adherence.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state guidelines, including HIPAA and DEA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current PMHNP license and prescriptive authority in Oregon.
- Board certification in psychiatric mental health (PMHNP-BC).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.
- Familiarity with MAT, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care.
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.
- DEA registration and current CPR/BLS certification required.
