What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor - Material Handling position at Optimal CAE?
Position Description :
Current operational hours are from 5 : 00PM until 3 : 30AM. Some weekends and / or Holidays will be required. Must be able to work regular overtime and any shift. This position is not eligible for remote work.
- Supervise 15-35 hourly UAW employees is all aspects of operation : Inbound, Outbound, Cross-Dock, Inventory.
- Deliver on objectives including, but not limited to : Safety Metrics, Quality Metrics, Inventory Accuracy, LPMH, Cycle Times, Vacation Scheduling, Absenteeism, LPMH, Process Adherence, Process Improvements
- Champion a strong UAW relationship through the application of the UAW Contract, while motivating and counseling UAW workforce as required
- Facilitate start-up meetings, effectively communicate with team members and document were applicable
- Champion and lead initiatives to achieve a best-in-class Redistribution Center through process improvements and process adherence
- Effectively and confidently communicate with all stakeholders of the operation
- Putting the customer first and striving to treat them as family
