Phlebotomy Experience is a plus.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic or hospital environment. This position requires a proactive individual who is skilled in both clinical and administrative tasks, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care in various settings, including urgent care, hospital medicine, and trauma centers.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Record vital signs, complete patient intake, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, communicating with patients, and managing patient flow.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with medical-surgical tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical assistant role preferred.
- 1 year experience with phlebotomy preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not required.
