What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemist position at Optimal Inc.?
- Performs materials laboratory analysis, including DSC, TGA, DMA and material mechanical testing following ASTM standard.
- Performs design of experiment with respect to the targeted performance on polymer and composite materials
- Assist in developing of composite material process designs and optimization
- Authors laboratory reports to summary the research work
- Coordinates and communicates information with researcher, engineering, manufacturing, plant, supplier personnel and others to implement methods improvement, product improvements, and to support internal programs
- Stays abreast of new technology
- Self-initiative on research topics
- Familiar with lab environment and handle task related chemicals
- Research experience with Moldings and Surface properties
- Research experience Compression and vacuum bay molding properties
- Test Lab Experience including the following: Instran instruments, tensile testing, 3-point bend testing, impact drop tower testing
- Ability to provide analysis on data summary reports
- Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Bachelors in Chemistry or Material Science
- Position is government funded, No visa sponsorship available, only US Citizen for this position.
Salary : $62,000 - $68,000
