What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer position at Optimal Staffing?
Fully onsite
Position Description:
- Use plant monitoring software to review cycle times of machinery, review and follow up machinery project's and installations
- Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other machinery problems
- Update program backups for machinery
- Program new installations of machinery and conveyor systems
- Reprogram machinery for engineering changes and improvements
Skills Required:
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls Siemens and/or Indramat PL7
- Electrical Background (electrician or technician)
- Siemens and Indramat servo and VFD drives Familiarity with VFD's, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls
- 2 years of related controls and debug experience
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
