Senior Demand Planner, Optimas OE Solutions, LLC, Columbus, IN:
Formulate and apply mathematical models and analytical tools to forecast customer demand accurately, considering historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors. Evaluate, implement, and maintain technical tools and software solutions to streamline demand planning processes. Monitor and manage fastener inventory levels, minimizing excess and obsolete stock while ensuring product availability for customers. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance demand planning and supply chain processes. Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization. Prepare and present regular reports and KPIs related to demand planning and supply chain performance to management and stakeholders. Chair monthly SIOP meetings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, and procurement, to gather market insights, align on demand forecasts, and coordinate inventory plans.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience in:
- Forecasting with large OEM manufacturing customers, and with large data sets;
- Advanced Excel including Macro creation, V lookup, Data Manipulation, External Data import, Index match, Advanced charting and pivot tables;
- Data Visualization including Tableau, Power BI, Python, and SQL database building; and,
- Advanced data analytics tools, ERP systems, and demand planning software including SO99 ToolsGroup MRP system, and Netsuite ERP system.
Travel: Domestic travel required up to 20%.
