We are seeking a swing shift Furnace Specialist to perform tasks relating to the processing of "green" molded parts into sintered product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule, load, startup, unload and clean furnaces between each run.
• Perform metallurgical inspection after each run to determine product quality and work with engineers or maintenance to fix any product quality or maintenance problems
• Prioritizing and scheduling which lots will run in each furnace load
• Using and cleaning Leco carbon analyzers
• Creating metallurgical sample mounts and determining grain size

REQUIREMENTS :

• One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required such as hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, etc.
• Ability to work in an environment with extreme temperatures and humidity
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, talk, hear, see and work on elevated platforms
• May be required to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday
• Ability to work as needed to meet business needs.
• Due to ITAR requirements, employees must meet the definition of a "US Person" as defined by ITAR.

Wage : $18.36 (plus $1.00 shift differential)

Shift & Schedule : Swing shift, 3 : 00 pm to 11 : 30 pm, Sunday thru Thursday. (MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN MON-FRI at first.)

PTO : 40 hours of Sick time, 80 hours of PTO, and 80 hours of (designated) holiday pay. Five weeks total. (After 5 years of service, PTO increases from 80 hours to 120 hours.)
