Job Summary :

We are an Architectural Metal Fabrication company in Dallas, Texas and we're seeking a skilled Metal Finisher to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring that our handcrafted Staircases and Railings meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience in metal finishing, surface preparation, and polishing techniques, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for the final surface treatment of metal staircases, including removing imperfections, smoothing surfaces, applying protective coatings, and ensuring a polished aesthetic appearance by grinding, sanding, and polishing the metal components of the stairs, handrails, and balusters to meet the desired finish specifications. The finisher will travel to job site from time to time to accomplish finishing on products that are being install or are already installed.

Work on Stainless Steel and provide a #8, #4, and Acid Blackened Finish on all Metals.

Clean and prepare welds and metal surfaces, grind, polish, paint, and use bondo products.

Work on Bronze to accomplish Brush (Satin), Polish, and Antique Finish.

Work on Aluminum to accomplish Brush (Satin), Polish, and any other finish.

Ensure surfaces meet quality standards for texture, sheen, and uniformity.

Use hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment to achieve desired results.

Inspect and correct surface imperfections such as scratches, oxidation, and inconsistencies.

Qualifications :

• 2 years of experience in metal finishing, polishing, or fabrication. (staircase and railing experience is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of different metal types and how they respond to finishing techniques.
• Forklift operating certification is a plus.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
