What are the responsibilities and job description for the USACE Construction Superintendent position at Optimized Personnel Solutions?
The Superintendent oversees the on-site activities of a project during the construction phase-from mobilization to close-out. The Superintendent's principal duty is to properly schedule and coordinate the work of the crews, equipment, and subcontractors to achieve maximum production most efficiently, with all work complying with the regulatory and contract requirements for safety, quality, and environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure construction is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and hold toolbox talks with sub-contractors.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Regularly review floor plans and project specifications to ensure work is being properly completed.
- Perform material and quantity estimates at each stage of the construction cycle.
- Coordinate the ordering and delivery of materials and supplies with the corporate office.
- Maintain professional relationships with city, county, and state government officials.
- Communicate issues and schedule changes with sub-contractors and the corporate office.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of previous experience as a construction superintendent running ground-up projects ranging from $20M-$50M in all commercial market sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience implementing safety protocols With a track record of successfully implementing and enforcing safety procedures on construction sites ensuring a secure work environment for project team.
- Ability to read and understand floorplans and blueprints is required.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check for government clearance.
- OSHA 30
- Proficiency with computer applications including ProCore, P6, and Mircrosoft Office.
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
