Introduction
Optimizely is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to join our Analytics team. As a Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely on our latest warehouse-native analytics acquisition, NetSpring, as we build out deeper integrations and new product offerings centered around Analytics.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for specific area(s) within Analytics, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery. Analytics includes experimentation analytics and future research for marketing, content, customer, web and general analytics across the Optimizely One product suite.
You will also be responsible for identifying market opportunities, defining product requirements, and collaborating with engineering, UX, and GTM teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs in an agile/scrum environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful products, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Job Responsibilities
Product Strategy
- Identify market trends, customer pain points, and competitive opportunities to shape the long-term vision for analytics across the Optimizely One product suite.
- Drive alignment on priorities and product goals across cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive strategy.
Market Research and Requirements Definition
- Conduct customer interviews, surveys, and industry research to gather insights into analytics needs across marketing, content, web, and general analytics use cases.
- Define and document detailed product requirements and user stories that clearly communicate customer and market needs to the development teams.
- Create personas and use cases to guide feature prioritization and ensure a deep understanding of end-users.
Execution and Delivery
- Lead sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions to prioritize features and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Monitor development progress and provide clear communication on status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders.
- Coordinate testing, launch, and post-launch activities, ensuring the product delivers on key metrics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering teams in an agile/scrum environment to deliver high-quality product releases on schedule.
- Partner with UX/UI teams to ensure analytics products are intuitive, user-friendly, and visually compelling.
- Work closely with GTM (Go-to-Market) teams to support marketing efforts, sales enablement, and customer adoption strategies.
Customer Engagement
- Engage directly with customers to gather feedback on analytics products, addressing concerns and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of customer workflows and use cases to inform future development.
- Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring customer-centric product decisions.
Performance Tracking and Optimization
- Define KPIs to measure the success of analytics features and iterate based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
- Analyze usage data and conduct performance reviews to identify areas for product improvement.
- Develop hypotheses and lead A/B testing to validate enhancements and measure impact.
Thought Leadership and Communication
- Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders, customers, and partners about the vision and capabilities of Optimizely's analytics solutions.
- Represent Optimizely’s analytics offerings in industry events and webinars to establish thought leadership in the analytics space.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Knowledge and Experience
- 3 years of industry or educating experience with product management with a focus on analytics, business intelligence, data science, etc.
- Hands-on experience using analytics tools, whether for reporting, dashboard creation, or deeper analysis (i.e. Amplitude, Mixpanel, PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
- Proficient in data modeling and analysis techniques to support data visualization and reporting needs
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineers, UX/UI designers, or marketers.
