As a Scribe at Optimum Care Partners, you are committed to medical care and ahold a strong desire to expand their knowledge of the medical world. Within this Medical Scribes position, you will work with one of our top physicians in their day to day work. This will include shadowing the doctor as they perform examinations and render patient care, assist in charting, note taking and helping the Physician with any other requests. They will also be responsible for writing down the patients' medical history, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment plans. This scribe must be very well experienced and use to working with fast paced Physicians. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document a patient's medical history.
- Communicate with doctors and nurses.
- Obtain necessary medical records.
- Communicate with patients and family members.
- Review medications with patients and family members.
- Enter patient information into medical record.
- Take medical histories of patients.
- Enter medical records of patients into electronic health record system.
Qualifications:
- Skills Required: Previous use of EMR, Medical Terminology, Type 60 words per minute
- College Degree in Medical Field
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Healthcare Professional Licensure including but not limited to EMT, ARRT, RN and LPN
- Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) Certification
- Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) Certification
- Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Keyboard proficiency
- Experience using Electronic Health Records
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Must be able to speak and write English in a legible and comprehensible manner.
- Must be able to move about sufficiently to respond to life threatening emergencies including performing CPR and assisting with the evacuation of patient(s) during emergency situations.
