POSITION: Direct Support Professional

HOURS: Full-Time, Part-Time

PAY: $20–25/hour

OVERVIEW

Optimum Care SLS II is a supported living services (SLS) vendor for the North Bay Regional Center serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Sonoma, Napa, and Solano Counties.

We are seeking a patient, experienced, and kind yet firm Direct Support Professional to help us provide supported living services (SLS) to clients across Sonoma County, from Petaluma to Cloverdale.

You will work closely with individuals in their homes and communities, offer assistance with activities of daily living, promote independence, and ensure individuals' continued physical and psychological safety and well-being.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist individuals with ADLs, including personal care, meal preparation, shopping, and household chores.

· Support individuals in developing and participating in community activities while successfully managing unhelpful behaviors.

· Implement individualized support plan and document progress and outcomes.

· Administer medications and provide basic healthcare support as needed, such as transportation to medical appointments.

· Ensure a safe, clean living environment for the individual.

· Advocate for the individual’s needs and rights in community and other settings.

QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED)

· 1 year experience in psychiatric care or behavioral care highly preferred.

· 1 year prior experience as a RBT, BT, or other behavioral care staff highly preferred.

· 1 year experience working with individuals with psychiatric and/or developmental and intellectual disabilities highly preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

· Valid driver’s license required.

· Vehicle with minimum insurance required.

· Clean driving record, as verified with a DMV records check.

· Able to pass DOJ/FBI LiveScan background check.

· Current CPR and First Aid Certificate(s) required.

· Negative TB test result (from within the past year), or willingness to obtain.

· Completion of online provider trainings upon hire.
