Job Description: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Crisis Foster Home Designtaed Cordidnators in Annandale, MN. This role involves providing care, supervision, and emotional support to children and youth in crisis situations. As a Crisis Foster Home Worker, you will play a critical role in offering a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children in need of immediate care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to children and youth placed in the foster home.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each child under your care.
- Assist with daily routines, including meal preparation, transportation, and helping with homework.
- Work collaboratively with a team of professionals, including social workers and mental health staff.
- Implement care plans and support strategies designed to help children heal and stabilize.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and observations for each child.
- Participate in regular training and development programs.
- Comfortable working with children who can be physically and verbally aggressive.
- Hiring new staff.
- Creating staff schedules.
- Implementing rules and regulations within the home.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children, particularly in crisis situations, is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and level-headed during challenging situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must pass background checks and have a valid driver’s license.
- Experience working with children and a variety of coping skills.
