Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced 1911 Gunsmith to join our growing team in Mooresville, NC. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of 1911 and/or 2011 pistol platforms, with the skills to perform high-level fitting, tuning, and assembly work. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to deliver top-tier firearms that meet our exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Precision fitting of slides, frames, barrels, and fire control components
• Hand polishing, deburring, and finishing to ensure optimal performance and aesthetics
• Test firing and diagnosing function or reliability issues
• Final assembly and quality control of complete firearms
• Collaborate with engineering and production staff to improve processes and designs
• Maintain detailed documentation for each build, following internal revision and batch controls

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience building or tuning 1911/2011 platforms
• Extensive knowledge of internal workings and timing of 1911 pistols
• Ability to work independently and deliver consistent, high-quality craftsmanship
• Experience with manual tools (files, air tools) and shop equipment (e.g. mill, lathe, belt sander, polishing wheels)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Gunsmithing school degree or equivalent real-world experience preferred

Preferred But Not Required:

• Familiarity with batch production or serialized builds
• Background in custom firearm building or competition-level tuning

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
