FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT-
As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant at Optimum Speech Language Services, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to our pediatric population (ages 1-18). Your responsibilities will include:
- Commuting to clients within Concord and Kannapolis areas.
- Conducting treatments in various naturalistic environments such as homes, daycares, or schools.
- Implementing treatment plans developed by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP).
- Administering speech-language screenings as needed.
- Providing home exercise programs and direct therapy.
- Offering updates to parents following sessions (particularly in daycare settings).
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including daily notes and progress reports.
- Communicating with supervisors regarding any concerns related to a child's treatment plan or progress.
- Complying with all applicable rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines, and federal, state, and local laws.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PEDIATRIC SLP- ASSISTANT
Preference given to a candidate who already lives in the Greater Charlotte Area
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- SLP-Assistant NC registration/license (or ability to get instantly registered-100 hours completed already).
- A.A.S or B.S. related to speech language pathology, if you have B.S in CSD/Speech, should have already completed requirements to become SLP-Assistant.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, motivation, and energy.
- Enjoyment of working with children.
- Leadership style or therapeutic approach which includes empathy, active listening, collaboration, and a commitment to helping clients develop and reach their full potential.
- Proven ability to follow through with tasks.
- Preference for candidates with experience working with the pediatric population.
- Preference for candidates with experience working in an early childhood setting.
- Clean background check (NC/National).
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License and insurance.
· Expected hours: 30 visits minimum per week

- Pay per visit, ranging between $27 and $28 with potential for increase in rate after 9 months. Compensation is on a per-session basis, offering increased earning potential. Session visits are either 30 or 45 minutes.
