We are presently recruiting a full-time Bilingual Spanish, LMSW/LCSW or LPC/LPC-A to work as a clinician for our PIC (Promoting Integrated Care) program at our Stratford clinic. Spanish speaking required for this 100% grant position.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides direct services to Optimus’ patients and families with the goal of developing patient independence and self-sufficiency, when applicable. The PIC Clinician works with the Promoting Integrated Care (PIC) team to provide assessment and evaluation services to patients of Optimus Health Care to determine appropriate levels of care for behavioral, medical and/or substance use treatment. Provide individual and group counseling for program participants when needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: MSW or similar degree in counseling from an accredited university
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years of related experience. Some behavioral health experience is preferred in the areas of culturally diverse populations. Combination of clinical, crisis intervention, systems, case management, conflict-resolution, behavior modification, program development, child development, state and local resources, and group skills needed. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Basic computer skills desired. Medication Assisted Treatment experience or Suboxone waiver preferred and/or willing to obtain waiver within 12 months of hire. Familiarity with tele-medicine and prior experience a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Spanish language skills are required.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Licensed under the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health as an LMSW/LCSW, LPC/LPC-A. Additional certification as a LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor) is a plus.
