We are presently recruiting for a full-time Director of Revenue Cycle to join our team in Stratford, CT.
POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for the management, operational, financial, and personnel activities for the Revenue Cycle team and processes specific to the front-end (patient facing) component of revenue cycle to include patient registration, eligibility and authorization, and upfront patient collections including self-pay management in collaboration with the practice managers.
This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring the goals and objectives of revenue cycle while maintaining alignment with Optimus’ strategic goals and objectives. While the range of duties and responsibilities for this position is broad and varied, the position’s major responsibility is directing the day-to-day operations, budgeting, and financial management of front-end revenue cycle.
The Director of Revenue Cycle will collaborate and work closely with various members of management in coordinating the activities of the Revenue Cycle across Optimus including the Director of Billing and Collections, who is responsible for the back end (claims management and reimbursement) component of revenue cycle, consisting of medical billing and claims management, including patient and insurance reimbursement.
As a member of the Finance team, the Director of Revenue Cycle serves as the operational leader for Revenue Cycle and Dental Operations working closely with Optimus employees to support organization-wide projects and initiatives that relate to Optimus’ priorities, health care regulations and compliance, systems redesign to improve revenue, and/or reduced cost.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field, preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Eight (8) years of progressively responsible management experience in a health care business setting and at least five years in a related leadership role. Ten (10) years of management experience in a medical group practice or hospital business office; experience in a large academic or complex health program, preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English/Spanish, helpful
