A key Optimus client is seeking an experienced Trade Operations Analyst to support physical natural gas operations in Canada and the U.S.
This role is based in Calgary, but duties will cover both Canda and some US trading. To be considered, candidates must have proven experience in commodity settlements, confirmations, and trade verification with physical natural gas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee physical natural gas settlements in Calgary and provide support for U.S. natural gas operations.
- Ensure accuracy in trade confirmations, pricing, and invoicing.
- Work closely with internal teams to reconcile discrepancies and optimize processes.
- Utilize ETRM systems and other settlement tools to manage transactions effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics or similar discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in physical Natural Gas:
- settlements,
- trade confirmations
- trade verification
- Strong understanding of market structures, pricing, and confirmation processes.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small office setting.
- Ability to work across multiple business lines and stakeholders
- Prior experience in ETRM systems
- High attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining enthusiasm
- Motivation to continually improve processes
