ETRM Business Analyst
A key Optimus client is seeking an experienced and dynamic ETRM Business Analyst to join their team. This role requires a strategic thinker and exceptional communicator who can bridge the gap between IT and business, ensuring smooth execution of business applications implementations. The ideal candidate will have 6-7 years of ETRM experience, a customer service mindset, and a balance of logical problem-solving and creative thinking. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the implementation and/or upgrade of ETRM systems, with a focus on commercial off-the-shelf platforms such as Endur, Allegro, RightAngle, PCI and others.
- Collaborate directly with traders, leadership, and other key stakeholders (PE firms, Legal, Finance, etc.) to gather requirements, align goals, and deliver impactful solutions.
- Provide data governance and management expertise, ensuring system data accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison between IT and business teams, breaking down complex IT processes into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Support testing, enhancement, and updates of ETRM systems to optimize workflows and minimize disruptions to daily operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization, fostering collaboration and trust.
Key Qualifications
- 6-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on ETRM implementations.
- Strong understanding of the commodities trading business and the role IT plays in its success.
- Exceptional verbal communication and storytelling skills to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Expertise in data governance and management, including data validation and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including traders, executives, and support teams.
- Experience on a power trading floor is preferred; experience in other physical energy commodities (crude, refined products, natural gas, renewable energy) is acceptable.
- Familiarity with the challenges of implementing and enhancing ETRM systems in dynamic, fast-moving organizations.
