This role is responsible for the strategy development and execution covering the North American Natural Gas markets. This role will be responsible for a variety of financial risks including price, basis, and options with extended responsibilities into storage optimization.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong short-term and long-term fundamental and technical understanding of North American Natural Gas
• Deploy and manage effective strategies leveraging exchange and OTC market instruments for risks associated with outright price, options and/or basis risks

• Ensure the proper recording of Position and P&L in conjunction with middle office team
• Maintain proper controls and limits as designated by company policy and related market regulatory bodies
• Consistently and effectively meet or exceed gross margin expectations

A qualified candidate for this role should have at least the following characteristics:

• A consistent history of positive results in natural gas trading
• Experience with the appropriate trade instruments necessary to manage the portfolio including options, price and/or basis in the North American Natural Gas markets
• The ability to develop and evaluate strategy in both a fundamental and technical perspective
• A strong background in systems and tools for the valuation and risk assessment
• Strong controls acumen with regard to trade portfolios
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics or similar discipline
