The Posting Clerk is responsible for researching and posting all forms of payments to QCS consumer and client accounts in the collection and accounting software and maintaining various accounting and operational reports.
Job Duties
- Research and post daily consumer payments
- Research and post daily client payments
- Post returned checks and chargebacks
- Prepare bank deposits
- Post company or client specific data items in collection software as required
- Assist with daily Accounting duties as required
- Provide backup to Optio Accounting Representative and Supervisor as needed
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees
- Ability to meet department attendance requirements
- Ability to work effectively under departmental pressure/stress situations
Skills and Abilities
- Computer skills proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- 10 key by touch
- Good problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Attention to detail
- Exercise sound judgment
- Excellent organization and follow through skills
- Manage multiple tasks at once

Education/Experience Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Accounting, bank teller, or related experience a plus
- QuickBooks experience a plus
