Job Summary:
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the operational aspects of our plumbing service calls. This includes managing schedules, ensuring high-quality service delivery, optimizing workflow, coordinating with technicians, maintaining inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. You will be the key point of contact for both our team and customers, ensuring timely and efficient service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the daily scheduling and dispatching of service calls to our plumbing technicians, ensuring efficient routes, timely arrivals, and high-quality service.
- Customer Service Excellence: Act as a liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring prompt response to inquiries and quick resolution of any issues or complaints.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels for plumbing parts and tools, ensuring technicians have what they need for each job.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train the plumbing team to ensure they maintain high service standards and safety protocols.
- Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and improve operational processes, implementing strategies for greater efficiency, cost control, and service quality.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track performance metrics such as customer satisfaction, service times, and job completion rates to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the plumbing or trades industry.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing services, including understanding service call workflows.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, effective decisions.
- Proficient in scheduling software, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage customer expectations effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
