Options for Community Living, Inc. is looking for Per Diem Residential Counselors to join our team! An ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Have a passion for assisting those diagnosed with mental illness. Must be a self-starter and well organized.
- Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
- Experience in a residential program preferred.
- Required to provide coverage when offered (within your identified availability), respond to staff when contacted to request coverage within 48 hours, and report to shifts once commitment is made.
- Must provide coverage at a minimum, (1) shift per month.
- Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, valid auto insurance and access to a vehicle is required.

Salary Range:
$20.00/hr. - $26.00/hr.
Salary offers will be commensurate with experience and other qualifications.
Schedules: 4-hour, 6-hour, and/or 8-hour shifts, between the hours 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday; Shift availability is subject to available openings.

Responsibilities:
At Options for Community Living, Inc., individuals living with a mental health diagnosis live, learn, and develop their potential in an environment that respects personal choice. The Relief Residential Counselor provides various support services on a per diem basis to the residents and is responsible for training and assisting residents in the activities of daily living.
- Participate in the planning and evaluation of individual service plans and monitor plan objectives.
- Train and assist residents in the activities of daily living.
- Document services provided with appropriate notes.
- Manage medication and document accordingly.
- Provide case management and follow-up service.
- Provide counseling, behavioral intervention and crisis management services while following emergency procedures.
- Assist in the day-to-day management and household maintenance of the community residence in a professional manner.
- Provide transportation for residents as needed.
- Responsibility for management of residence in the absence of a full time Residential Counselor.
- Notify the Program Supervisor/Program Manager of any medical or psychiatric emergency.
- Complete overnight checklists and after-hours log during overnight shifts.
- Read and enter notes in Foothold Communication Log every shift.
- Complete and maintain all training requirements in a timely manner.
- Other relevant responsibilities as assigned by management.
