What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Shower Trailer Attendant (PT) position at Options for Helping Residents of Ashland?
Primary Function
The Laundry Shower Trailer Attendant maintains a safe environment for guests to utilize shower and laundry services. Has an ability to create and enforce a safe working environment and be able to utilize their skills to manage crowds and the surrounding environment. The LST Attendant is responsible for setting up and closing the trailer after each day of use.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Managing Laundry Shower Trailer
- Set-up the Laundry and Shower Trailer for use, including: stocking supplies, setting up the sign in table, preparing the daily paperwork for the trailer
- Manage the Laundry and Shower trailer sign up process. This process including guest sign in, reviewing safety policies, and ensuring guests sign the appropriate consent forms
- Manage trailer shut down by cleaning, sanitizing, draining pipes of water, and storing all supplies and equipment in trailer and ensuring trailer and site is locked and secured
- Daily tracking and record keeping of the number of guests who utilize LST and providing the information in a timely manner to the Front Desk Staff.
- Keep accurate tally of daily use of LST
Guest Interaction
- Maintain positive interactions with LST guests
- Assist with ensuring safety policies are followed
- Enforce a no loitering policy with guests that surround the area and not utilizing the laundry or showers
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations, utilizing their team
- Determines if guest should be referred for other programs and services to the OHRA Resource Center or another agency
Cleaning Duties
- Maintain the cleanliness of the showers between each guest use
- Manage the monthly deep clean of the Laundry Shower Trailer
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience working with partners who serve low income community members.
- Exhibit the ability to work as a collaborative and productive part of a team.
- Experience with commercial cleaning
- A background in trauma-informed care.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience with people who experience homelessness or living with substance use disorders.
