Job Description
Equity Derivatives FO Tools Developer (C# and MS Excel/VBA)
The Equity FO Tools IT team is working in an international environment, closely with the Front Office and other IT teams in the different locations. The team is globally in charge of developing and maintaining Front Office systems that enables trading, structuring and sales daily activities on the following area:
•Development of the Trading Tools for Flow and Structured Equity
Businesses
•Development of the global pricing application used by Structuring and
Sales desks
•Support of the tools
Main Duties
The candidate will be working closely with the Equity NY business users and help build the Americas ETF franchise from the grounds up.
Front Office tools developments will require to:
• Analyze the business requirements and translate them into technical
Specifications
• Propose technical design in line with the local NY business
requirements and provide development cost
• Implement (Develop, Unit test, Non Reg, Follow up with users) these
solutions
• Ensure developments made are in line with the IT architecture and
integrated within the global platform
• Act in respect of development/design best practices and delivery
process in place
• More globally : active participation in (and implementation of) the
global FO Tools IT team governance: architecture, methodology, delivery, reporting, quality, people
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• 3 yrs development experience
• Strong skills in OO development (C#) and MS Excel/VBA
• Skills in SQL and XML
• Good architectural and design capability
NON TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• Excellent communication skills: will work closely with Front Office
users in a very time constrained environment.
• Well organized and rigorous, team player and highly motivated
• Ability to work in a complex global environment
• Ability to work under pressure
• Flexible and able to change priorities quickly
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
• Good knowledge of ETFs, pricing, booking and risk calculation,
business processes
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
• More than 5 years experience in an investment bank as a Front Office
developer on equity products.
• Prior exposure with products pricing, booking and lifecycle
management
• Prior experience with kdb
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Must be able to work in a small IT team and maintain an excellent
relationship with business users
• Must be able to work independently as part of a highly distributed
global team
