Job Title : Technical Service Representative (Hybrid)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and tickets, ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to Optoma projectors.
  • Provide clear, step-by-step guidance to customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Process RMAs and swap requests in compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless replacements or repairs.
  • Support customers in installing, configuring, and integrating projectors with AV and control systems.
  • Maintain availability for incoming calls during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure email inquiries are addressed within 24 hours.
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining ownership of customer concerns.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging AV technologies.
  • Participate in internal training and skill development programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an AV installer or technical support representative. Familiarity with AV control systems such as AMX, Crestron, Biamp, Q-SYS, QSC, Lutron, Extron, Dante, and DSP files (preferred but not required).
  • Understanding of TCP / IP networking and audio / video protocols and codecs.
  • Strong computer proficiency (PC & Mac); familiarity with Windows and MacOS troubleshooting.
  • Certifications include CTS, Crestron DMC-E-4K, Dante Level 3, Extron EAVA, or Q-SYS Level 1 (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts in a simple manner.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to handle various personality types and cultural backgrounds.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
