Description
Highly skilled and motivated Customer Support/Field Service Technician to play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our customers through optimal functioning of our Aerosol Jet systems. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of these systems. Your primary objective will be to merge technical expertise with excellent customer service to enhance overall customer satisfaction resulting in mutual success. Also seeking a more senior person to lead the St. Paul team.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure Optomec systems at customer sites
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues onsite and through phone, email, and chat
- Provide training in best practices to on-site personnel
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Keep records of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve products and services
- Maintain AJ and facility equipment at Optomec's St. Paul facility

Requirements
- Associate's degree, military E4 or equivalent competency in Engineering, tech support, or a related field. E5 or equivalent preferred for Lead
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of simple DC circuits and test procedures with a strong mechanical apptitude
- Some knowledge of any computer language preferred
- Some fluency in Mandarin is a plus
- Some security clearance is preferred
- Proven experience in technical support or a similar customer facing role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Windows environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by customer needs
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability and a customer-centric mindset
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and access components from the floor to a five foot level
- Able to utilize commercial air, ground and self-driven transportation
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time during on-site support and system demonstrations
- MasterCam, AutoCad, SolidWorks, Cognex Vision or a computer language experience is preferred
