What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager - Optometry position at Optometric Associates of Texas?
We are looking for an Office manager to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures and bring the office together. During clinical care hours check in/out is performed, vision plans and medical insurance are verified, quotes are given, and call-ins/walk-ins are added to the schedule. Previous experience as a Front office manager or Office administrator would be an advantage. A successful Office manager should have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Verify vision and medical insurance benefits
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports
- Check in/out patients and provide quote
- Conducting team meetings
- Working knowledge of health insurances & vision plans is required to perform patient check in/out and explain challenging insurance topics to patients on a daily basis. Additional training will be provided in these areas.
Pay listed is base with additional bonus available for achieving designated goals. Opportunities for advancement exist in our organization for motivated individuals. .
The clinic is open 6 days a week and the office manager must be available to work on Monday and Friday from 09:00am - 6:30pm, and Saturday from 09:00am - 6:30 pm each week.

Paid training is provided for 4-5 Weeks depending on knowledge of job. Training maybe at Arlington and Cedar Hill location, different locations for those training weeks. Travel mileage will be included.
