Job Description:
Optomi, in partnership, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing Tableau, Alteryx, and SQL to extract, analyze, and visualize data in order to drive strategic business decisions. You will play a key role in turning complex data into actionable insights, empowering teams across the organization to make data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports, delivering interactive and insightful data visualizations for business stakeholders.
- Use Alteryx to design and automate data workflows, integrating data from multiple sources and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from relational databases, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights to support business decision-making.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing reports, dashboards, and data processes.
- Continuously improve and streamline data processes and workflows, ensuring efficient data delivery and reporting.
- Present findings to business stakeholders, including senior management, and make recommendations for improvements based on data analysis.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in business intelligence, data analysis, and visualization tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar data-focused role.
- Expertise in using Tableau for data visualization, dashboard creation, and reporting.
- Strong experience with Alteryx for data blending, transformation, and workflow automation.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries to interact with relational databases and large datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of additional BI tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud-based BI tools (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data governance and data quality best practices.
- Certifications in Tableau, Alteryx, or SQL are a plus.
