Optomi, in partnership, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join the team. In this role, you will focus primarily on developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and providing data-driven recommendations that will directly influence business decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tableau, data visualization, and reporting techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports to provide actionable business insights.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and create visualizations that meet those needs.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Translate complex data into meaningful insights through effective data visualizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and alignment with business objectives.
- Design and automate data reporting processes to streamline operations and reduce manual work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, performance issues, and technical challenges in Tableau.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and support data requests as needed.
- Provide training and support to team members on Tableau best practices and dashboard usage.
- Continuously stay updated on the latest Tableau features and data visualization trends.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2 years) as a Data Analyst with a strong focus on Tableau for reporting and visualization.
- Advanced knowledge of Tableau, including dashboard creation, calculated fields, parameters, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data preparation tools like Alteryx, Python, or R.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Familiarity with other BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, etc.).
- Certification in Tableau Desktop or Tableau Server is a plus.
