Instructional Design Specialist - Cybersecurity Team (100% remote - EST Hours)
Optomi, in partnership with a Fortune 10 client is looking to add a Insructional Design and Training Specialist to a Cybersecurity team! This security team oversees all enterprise tooling and strategy for the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design with a focus on developing engaging and effective training materials. This role requires expertise in Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise, with additional skills in VYond and SCORM packaging (this experience is a plus). The Instructional Design Specialist will play a pivotal role in creating educational content that enhances the knowledge and skills of our team members in cybersecurity practices and risk frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cybersecurity subject matter experts to design and develop instructional materials that meet the training needs of the organization.
- Utilize Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise to create interactive and visually compelling elearning modules.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and develop tailored training solutions.
- Ensure all training content aligns with industry standards and organizational compliance requirements.
- Implement SCORM packaging to facilitate seamless integration of training materials into Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Proactively gather and analyze feedback to continuously enhance training content based on learner experiences and emerging cybersecurity threats.
- Develop metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and utilize data for ongoing improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and cybersecurity education.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in instructional design and/or cybersecurity awareness training.
- Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) is required.
- Familiarity with VYond and SCORM packaging is preferred.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and teams at all levels.
- Experience with LMS platforms and data analysis tools.
- A results-oriented mindset with a commitment to fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Salary : $95,000 - $114,000
