MBSE / SYSML Systems Engineer (Active Security Clearance)
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the defense & engineering industry, is seeking a skilled MBSE / SYSML Systems Engineer who will get to provide technical assistance to the Director of M&S Enterprise Engineering, who is responsible for chairing design reviews, establishing architecture and design standards, managing Enterprise Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and synchronizing M&S across the Agency.

Experience of the right candidate :
Must have MSBE & SYSML experience.
Active Secret clearance
BS degree in STEM field
7 years of related professional experience
Practical experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML), along with other related modeling languages (e.g., DoD Architecture framework, UML).
Experience with MBSE tools such as IBM Rhapsody and integrated requirements tools like DOORs NG.
Familiarity with MBSE processes, such as IBM Harmony.
Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the right candidate :
Perform analyst duties to gather and define stakeholder requirements and mission needs.
Define requirements and conduct functional analysis using MBSE and SysML tools to ensure alignment with project goals.
Draft and review technical documents related to system architecture, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist in facilitating technical reviews and provide technical expertise for design and systems validation.
Support initiatives related to the transformation of modeling and simulation (M&S) and digital engineering practices.
Represent the Enterprise Engineering team in agency tiger teams and working groups, collaborating across various technical and engineering disciplines.
