Network Infrastructure Engineer- Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Veeam) - 100% Remote Contract Role- will be at least 20hrs. but up to 40hrs per week
Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to help upgrade the network infrastructure for one of their main customers. This engineer will aid in network refreshes utilizing Cisco and Fortinet routers, switches and firewalls. In addition, they will be responsible for helping other general infrastructure troubleshooting issues using tools like VMWare, Veeam, Windows servers, and Nutanix.
Responsibilities:
- Upgrading Cisco equipment to Fortinet- routers, switches and firewall
- Utilizing Meraki for AP's and wireless access
- Establishing site to site VPN's and utilizing DNS, DHCP and other protocols
- Troubleshooting and providing resolution for other infrastructure issues such as storage, backup, or virtualization (Have VMWare, Veeam, Nutanix in this environment- preferred but not must haves)
- Communicating with customer stakeholders and representatives and with other IT team members

- Both Cisco and Fortinet network route/switch/firewall engineering experience- troubleshooting, migration, refresh, implementations, etc.
- Meraki experience
- Other infrastructure experience using tools such as VMWare for virtualization, Windows OS/server administration, Nutanix for storage, and Veeam for backup
- Experience with various protocols such DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.
- Ability to communicate with various stakeholders and engineers and IT teams
Salary : $45 - $60
