Project Manager II
Optomi, in partnership with a leader within the energy industry, is seeking an experienced Project Manager II for their Charlotte, NC location! This role requires a dynamic and highly organized professional capable of managing multiple IT application delivery projects across several teams. The ideal candidate will oversee a hybrid Agile environment, utilizing Jira to manage workstreams, collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, and handle critical financial and leadership reporting. As a key leader in the Enterprise Security IT Support and Delivery department, this individual will play a crucial role in identifying the best ways to structure and optimize the team for efficiency. Qualifications of the right candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on inventory management projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with physical security, IT security, or supply chain systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple IT security-related (both Physical and Cyber), Supply Chain and/or Administrative Services projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Utilize Agile methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor project progress, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Cyber, Enterprise Protective Services, IT, Administrative Services, Telecom, Supply Chain and other business units, to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project performance against established metrics.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior management and project sponsors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, as well as industry’s best practices.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Gather all project-related data in advance of business leadership meetings and present current status.
