SDN Principal Engineer (Hybrid in Denver, CO)
Optomi, in partnership with our premier client in the Telecommunications industry, is seeking an SDN Principal Engineer to join their team! We are seeking a skilled engineer to help build a highly scalable SDWAN platform, working on a software-defined solution that is fully API-driven, offering flexibility and automation of key network functions. This role involves contributing to the design and development of Nebula, a comprehensive infrastructure solution that integrates both blue and red networks. Built primarily in NodeJS, Nebula’s backend services leverage tools like Ansible for configuration and workflow automation. The engineer will collaborate with various vendors to ensure seamless integration of web services and APIs across the platform. Additionally, they will work closely with the team to define processes and triggers for network automation and orchestration. A critical part of this role includes contributing to the vision and planning of the greenfield network architecture, with discussions around potential Cisco ACI and OpenStack integrations.
