Senior Software Engineer (Java / Node.js / AWS) - Hybrid 4x week in LA - Contract to Hire - W2
Optomi, in partnership with one of the largest entertainment companies in the world, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Studio Engineering team. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of media platforms and studio workflows by developing applications and shared services supporting the Studio’s content supply chain. Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and support applications using AWS tools and serverless computing
- Develop RESTful APIs and shared services using Java/TypeScript/Node.js
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, infrastructure, and security
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, story pointing, retrospectives
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of industry experience in software development with a focus on applications and shared services
- Strong proficiency in Java, Node.js, and TypeScript
- Expertise in REST API development and software engineering principles
- Hands-on experience with AWS platform tools and serverless architecture using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes for infrastructure
