What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Technical Project Manager position at Optomi?
The Senior Technical Project Manager will support Signature Experiences—including cruise lines, vacation ownership programs, travel expeditions, resort operations, and professional development institutes—by leading sustainment efforts and delivery initiatives across web and app platforms. This is a dynamic, fast-paced team handling a wide range of smaller, content-driven projects rather than one massive initiative. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in agile environments, and can juggle shifting priorities while maintaining strong stakeholder communication and financial oversight.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in technical project management, preferably in digital/web/app environments.
- Strong content strategy, sustainment, or digital producer experience is highly preferred.
- Deep experience in Agile frameworks, particularly using Jira and Smartsheet, with proficiency in dashboarding.
- Proven ability to manage financials, including budget tracking, contract costs, and timesheet approvals.
- Skilled at building and executing product-oriented project plans while managing multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communicator who is comfortable owning processes in a collaborative, high-speed setting.
Preferred:
- Experience with digital content delivery in cruise lines, booking systems, or commerce/eComm platforms.
- Background in content operations, web/app sustainment, or marketing platform updates.
- Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, ACP, CSPO, SAFe, LeSS) a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead content management and publishing projects for cruise line web and app platforms—ranging from marketing updates to content copy revisions.
- Act as a functional product lead, partnering with stakeholders to keep backlogs groomed and execution on track.
- Drive scrum ceremonies and facilitate daily team operations in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Work primarily out of Jira, with strong understanding of integrations with Smartsheet, and leverage dashboards for visibility.
- Collaborate closely with other technical PMs, content teams, and development teams across parallel projects.
- Manage status reporting, budgeting, and financial tracking—including allocation of resources, cost tracking with vendors, and timesheet oversight.
- Handle projects typically in the $2–3 million range, ensuring alignment with both technical and business goals.
