We are seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects involving the design and enhancement of applications and software tools that support internal teams and, occasionally, outward-facing client applications.
The ideal candidate will have a user-centered approach, leveraging research and collaboration to create intuitive, effective, and visually appealing designs that improve team members' ability to perform their roles efficiently. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and users to deliver solutions that meet business goals and user needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and users to gather requirements and understand project goals.
- Conduct user research, including interviews, stakeholder discussions, and task shadowing, to gain insights into user needs.
- Translate requirements and research findings into low-fidelity wireframes, sketches, and prototypes for brainstorming and feedback.
- Develop high-fidelity wireframes and visual designs using Figma and our existing design system.
- Present and articulate design solutions to team members, business stakeholders, and internal audiences.
- Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback and research findings.
- Ensure all designs align with the brand and design system.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience designing digital user interfaces for websites and/or applications.
- Proven ability to empathize with and understand user needs to create user-centric design solutions.
- Expertise in both low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframing and prototyping.
- Strong visual design skills, including a solid understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, balance, and color usage.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma and knowledge of working within and contributing to design systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ask clarifying questions and articulate design decisions.
- Strong presentation skills, comfortable discussing design solutions with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Business acumen with an ability to understand and incorporate business requirements into design solutions.
- Experience conducting user interviews and user research.
- Familiarity with design systems and the ability to contribute to their evolution.
- Willingness to participate in process improvements to enhance internal design workflows.
