The Rating Technician is responsible for providing manual rates to the Sales and Underwriting teams for new business and renewals. This individual will provide initial quotes to ancillary requests within allowable limits. They will analyze health benefit plan characteristics and assess risks around frequency and potential severity of losses to our client base.
This position is full - time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work any shift in a hybrid role between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM including the flexibility to work from home office on Monday and Friday and work on site from Tuesday - Thursday. We offer 1 week of training.
Our office is located at 11000, OPTUM CIRCLE, EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, 55344. Employees will be required to work 3 days onsite and 2 days from home.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing rates to sales and underwriting
- Work up RFP (Request for Proposal) to send to underwriting
- Evaluate proposal content to be sure all data is included
- Attend weekly touch base meetings
- Communicate with Sales and Underwriting peers on a daily basis

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1 years of experience in a customer service role
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Word (create and edit correspondence), Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, and sort spreadsheets, basic analytical formulas v - lookup, if), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
- Ability to work any shift in a hybrid role between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM including the flexibility to work from home office on Monday and Friday and work on site from Tuesday - Thursday

- Reside within commutable distance of 11000, OPTUM CIRCLE, EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, 55344
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
