Job Purpose
Responsible for material handling and processing, including auditing, picking, stocking the production line and cycle counts of all relevant material. This encompasses physically moving material, managing paperwork, and processing transactions in computerized inventory system. Performs other department duties as demand and staffing requires. Position requires excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Keep production line stocked with components per the Production Plan
- Work within company guidelines to manage materials
- Process material transactions in computerized inventory control system (NetSuite) if required
- Keep a clean and organized work area
- Perform cycle counts; perform physical to perpetual inventory counts
- Load and unload work carts
- Keep neat and organized files
- Maintain Production supplies
- Participate in the training of new and or temporary employees
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of Production area(s)
- Other duties as assigned
Work Environment:
- This position is a mix of computer work and physical movement of material in a warehouse environment.
- Normal working hours Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or off-hours work required.
Requirements
- Knowledge of general material flow
- Ability to use computer based office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office suite)
- Ability to use computer-based ERP system (e.g., NetSuite) for inventory management and work planning.
- Ability to work with accuracy, precision and completeness when performing inventory transactions and processing. Must meet established department standards for accuracy & completeness.
- Ability to work independently to generate and process daily work.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Skilled use of forklift and other material handling equipment
- Focus on safe working practices
- Ability to use standard set of tools
- Good math, verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years related experience and/or training.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Must be able to safely use material handling equipment, including but not limited to: forklift, ladders, wrapping equipment, pallet jacks, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
