What are the responsibilities and job description for the Covert Audit Manager position at OPUS INSPECTION TECHNOLOGIES INC?
POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient performance and reporting of Georgia's Clean Air Force covert auditing activities.
Maintains the Integrity of the Program
- Directs and supervises the covert audit activities of the Atlanta program in accordance with contractual requirements, objectives, and company policies.
- Reviews covert audits and finding reports for accuracy and readability prior to sending to the Environmental Protection Division (EPD).
- Maintains a positive work environment by providing employee feedback, encouraging, and aiding employee growth.
- This includes:
- Performing initial interview of potential new hire(s).
- Training new hires.
- Monitoring auditor's productivity.
- Performing follow ups with covert staff on outstanding audit issues.
- Providing one-on-one coaching and refresher trainings as needed.
- Creating and scheduling employee assignments (ad hoc covert audits – onsite, remote, test and repair audits, etc.) with proper rotation to maintain covert status.
- Maintaining appropriate auditing team by properly scheduling, administering time off requests, and approving timecards.
- This includes:
- Maintains effective communication with the Program Manager, Operations Manager, and Support Staff.
- Ensures and maintains covert integrity by facilitating audit operations discretely.
- Assists EPD with setting up targeted audits to evaluate inspectors and/or stations
- Ensures that all staff members are properly prepared to perform their daily work assignments.
- Reviews and updates company standard operations procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Ensures that covert auditors meet quality and productivity standards.
- Conducts disciplinary actions in accordance with the employee handbook.
- Assists with creation of required program reporting (monthly reports, annual reports).
- Assists with the purchase, sell, and pickup of vehicles for rotation in and out of the fleet.
- Works with the repair technicians to select vehicle appropriate inducements for the covert vehicles.
- Maintains repair facility accounts for covert and overt vehicle repairs.
- Attends and contributes input in covert and EPD meetings.
- Performs in other duties as required.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-5:00pm
Pay: $52,000 - $54,000 annually

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Strong interpersonal skills including effective listening and the ability to interact well with customers and personnel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently; must be self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess organization skills, be detail-oriented, have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional and helpful demeanor.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma and some college coursework.
- 1-2 years' experience in the Automotive Industry.
- At least one year experience in a supervisory or lead position.
Salary : $52,000 - $54,000
