Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; includes occasional Saturday's
Pay range: $60,000 - $62,000 annually

POSITION PURPOSE:
The position ensures that all Massachusetts Inspection Program requirements related to Motorist Assistance Centers (MAC) performance, training and customer service are adhered to. This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Motorists, Inspection Stations, Inspectors, Registered Repair Technicians and Registered Repair Stations. The position also responds to QA test interruptions and hotline calls of a technical nature.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assures that the MACs are properly maintained.
- Provide training to inspectors.
- Ensures performance of covert vehicles, including the set up and testing failures of covert audit vehicles.
- Evaluates waiver requests and hardship extension requests.
- Evaluate kit cars.
- Evaluate vehicles referred to the MAC (readiness, targeted, etc.).
- Visually inspect vehicles presented for repair waivers to determine whether the repair work has been made.
- Respond to test interruption and hotline calls.
- Assist Registered Repair Stations diagnosing vehicles that have problems with emissions.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Management staff.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of general office systems (i.e. PC), procedures and methods.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Automotive diagnosis and repair strategies
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- S.E. Master Certified and L1 Technician certification
- Minimum 2 years Automotive Service work experience
Salary : $60,000 - $62,000
