Job Summary
The Make Ready Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that residential units are prepared for new tenants. This position involves a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that properties are in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential units to identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Perform electrical repairs and maintenance, including troubleshooting and replacing fixtures.
- Execute residential painting projects to enhance the appearance of units.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant concerns and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.
- Utilize logic controllers for various maintenance tasks as needed.
- Supervise and lead small teams during make-ready processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Use an ohmmeter and other tools to perform electrical diagnostics and repairs.
- Maintain mechanical systems within the property, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with facilities maintenance staff to address larger repair projects or emergencies.
Skills
- Proficient in electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience in residential painting with an eye for detail.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with tenants and team members.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English for clear understanding of instructions and tenant interactions.
- Familiarity with logic controllers for equipment management is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to supervise teams effectively.
- Solid mechanical knowledge for performing a variety of maintenance tasks.
- Experience in supervising others during projects or daily operations is advantageous.
