Maintenance Supervisor

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Supervisor for our Caledonia , MI location. As a Maintenance Supervisor you can expect to plan, organize, and manage all the activities pertaining to the maintenance department to ensure an efficient, high-quality, cost-effective operating facility in coherence with promoting the corporate vision, mission statement, and core values.

What You Need To Be Successful At Opus Packaging

• Associate degree or Technical Certificate in a directly related field.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience within the corrugated industry.
• A wide technical knowledge including electrical, PLC, mechanical, welding, and general construction practices.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills, strong communication/interpersonal skills, employee development skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to plan and organize.
• Possess the ability to manage conflict, align performance for success, and initiate action.
• Excellent written and oral listening/communication.
  
  

During a Normal Workday You Can Expect To

• Lead the maintenance team to achieve corporate goals by planning and directing activities and establishing priorities in keeping with customer needs.
• Implement and maintain the safety and quality procedures within the department.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Maintain time and maintenance records.
• Oversee outside contractors performing installations and projects at the facility.
• Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Investigate problems to ensure efficient facility operation and determine root cause to prevent reoccurrence.
• Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Build and maintain an effective maintenance team.
