What You Need To Be Successful At Opus Packaging
- Associate degree or Technical Certificate in a directly related field.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience within the corrugated industry.
- A wide technical knowledge including electrical, PLC, mechanical, welding, and general construction practices.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, strong communication/interpersonal skills, employee development skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to plan and organize.
- Possess the ability to manage conflict, align performance for success, and initiate action.
- Excellent written and oral listening/communication.
- Lead the maintenance team to achieve corporate goals by planning and directing activities and establishing priorities in keeping with customer needs.
- Implement and maintain the safety and quality procedures within the department.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Maintain time and maintenance records.
- Oversee outside contractors performing installations and projects at the facility.
- Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Investigate problems to ensure efficient facility operation and determine root cause to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Build and maintain an effective maintenance team.
