POSITION SUMMARY:
Opus Pathology is a private, physician-owned pathology laboratory in Columbia, TN (only 50 miles south of Nashville), seeking to add an additional PA to our practice.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for all aspects of grossing moderate and complex cases.
· Researches and implements new procedures as needed.
· Operates, calibrates, and maintains all related grossing equipment.
· Ensures that all reagents and solutions are properly prepared, ordered, labeled, and stored
· Utilizes protocols and procedures considered acceptable by the College of American Pathologists (CAP)
· Instructs PA students in accordance with Opus procedural guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree/Master's degree from a NAACLS accredited training program or
· Board-registered or eligible for registry as a Pathologists’ Assistant with ASCP.
