Job Title: Gas and Chemical Process Technician
Address: Sunnyvale, CA
Responsibilities:
- Technicians work on systems and maintain supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LEDs, and Flat Screen TV's.
- Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems.
- Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers.
- Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance.
- Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs.
- Support of quality systems. Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection)
- Technicians must put on a Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (this type of respirator provides air from a cylinder through a mask connected to the cylinder) while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes
- Basic lifting (up to 40lbs) Bending of the knees and overhead reaching
- PPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Worker will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus
- Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful but not a must
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Military training is welcomed
- Strong technical aptitude
- Excellent communication skill
Salary : $24 - $30
