We are seeking a skilled Drywall Hanger to join our team. Duties
- Install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Measure, cut, and shape drywall panels using power tools and hand tools.
- Secure panels to the framing structure using screws or nails.
- Apply tape and joint compound to seams between drywall panels for a smooth finish.
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards and building codes.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and concrete finishers, to complete projects efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine layout requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Drywall Hanger or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to drywall installation.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry, plaster application, concrete finishing, and forming is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
