A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST:
As a Per Diem Surgical Technologist with OR Pros, you're the linchpin in the operating room, orchestrating seamless surgical procedures. During operations you pass sterile instruments to surgeons and first assistants, ensuring precision and efficiency. With precision, you handle specimens destined for laboratory analysis, contributing to the diagnostic puzzle. WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS A SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST:
- 2 years of operating room experience
- Qualification as a Surgical Technologist in New Jersey under NJ 26:2H-12.63
- Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or equivalent preferred
- Professionalism and punctuality
Preferred: 5 plus years of OR experience, ambulatory surgery center exposure, and strong knowledge of surgical procedures.
