JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall success of assigned locations in their area, ensuring financial and operational success while maintaining ORA hospitality standards and building team culture. They will work closely with and alongside the Acupuncturists & Front of House Team to manage all aspects of the business

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive Revenue and Manager Location Profit

  • Develop monthly, weekly, and daily action plans to drive results to ensure the achievement of monthly targets and expectations.
  • Achieve Company sales revenue objectives on a consistent basis by clearly communicating goals and expectations to the ORA team.
  • Manage the sales budget of assigned locations by controlling payroll and controllable operating expenses to successfully achieve the profit plan.
  • Participate in all conference calls as scheduled and apply learnings and directives. Contribute ways to remain competitive and inspirational.
  • Organize and lead monthly enrichment trainings/meetings to ensure goals and monthly focus expectations are clear and being executed.
  • Schedule weekly touch bases with respective management to deliver performance results along with actions /expectations.

Staff Coaching and HR Functions

  • Foster a team culture as well as emulate and instill core values of discipline, professionalism, thoroughness, and simplification for all staff.
  • Continuously recruit, hire, and train Company-minded individuals, ensuring the strongest team is in place.
  • Effectively communicate job responsibilities, performance expectations, standards, and Company policies/guidelines and also provide counsel, formally as needed, to correct behaviors.
  • Motivate the team to achieve sales target through weekly touch bases and ongoing coaching.
  • Coordinate recognition programs as a means of additional inspiration. Coordinate training schedules for all new hires to ensure proper onboarding covering HR functions, sales training, and product knowledge.
  • Ensure that hygiene and personal appearance standards are being adhered to by all team members.
  • Maintain team HR files and ensure payroll, timekeeping, record keeping, and other HR functions are performed properly and executed with accuracy.

Inventory Management and Operations

  • Monitor on-hand stock levels for service/office supply, tea bar and retail items, placing orders in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing and health requirements
  • Ensure a neat, clean space is maintained with high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Ensure ORA service and operations standards and SOP’s are embraced and applied 100% of the time
  • Oversee location standards, conduct weekly walk-throughs, and initiate maintenance/repairs as needed.

Lead by Example

  • Be an expert in service and product knowledge, attending all vendor and in-house training opportunities
  • Be a leader in sales and customer service, setting the example for the team
  • Project a professional image of what ORA represents in style, image, luxury and refined taste to employees and guests

Team Work:

  • Shows ownership of business as a whole and acts as MOD when Area Manager is off the premises.
  • Maintain a positive employee relations climate, responding to employee-related issues promptly, fairly and consistently
  • Develop and motivate staff, maintain cooperation/teamwork, delegate tasks productively
  • Assists in all employee on-boarding and continued education
  • Participates in all monthly meetings partnering with Area Manager to roll out initiatives and motivate staff.

Sales and Operations

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day activities to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist Area Manager in communicating and achieving sales goals and expectations, as well as managing controllable expenses to achieve budgeted sales objectives.
  • Assist in coordinating promotional events and technical and product training sessions.
  • Manage Inventory through effective ordering, receiving orders and performing monthly inventory counts.
  • Assist in completing payroll on a bi-weekly basis
  • Manage and execute all SuperBill inquiries, ensuring execution of inquiries in a timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of assistant management experience in a high-volume retail, beauty/spa or service environment.
  • BS degree in related field and/or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Schedule requirements: Five days a week, one weekend day required, one PM shift required
  • Team player with strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Able to work with and manage various levels of talent
  • Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines within a timely manner
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with little or no direction
  • Flexible and available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Computer skills in the Microsoft Office platform

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
