Monitoring & Testing Analyst / Lead

Role: M&T Senior Analyst / QA Lead

Location: Dallas

Note - The Consultant Must be willing to cover at least 2-3 hours overlap during Asia hours)

Experience: 7-12 years

Skills

• Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, internal control frameworks, and regulatory requirements
• Strong understanding and experience with controls and control testing

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.

• Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies, database management systems, and data warehousing technologies.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize conflicting needs and work in a high-pressured environment
• Strong hands-on experience working with PPT, Excel, JIRA, Confluence
• Self-starter, who can take full ownership of deliverables, and be held accountable for success of those deliverables.
• High degree of perseverance and the ability to negotiate on deliverables/target dates etc. Must have the ability to utilize different mechanisms to follow-up with people until the given deliverable is completed
• Post initial training, must be able to independently drive deliverables and communicate with senior stakeholders across the organization

Good to have skills / Experience with:

1. Understanding of SQL & Data Lineage
2. Understanding of Data quality management identify data quality issues including ensuring data accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
3. Experience in creating or maintaining up-to-date procedures for own role the library of procedures used by the wider teams present in multiple region / timezone
4. Experience in conducting data testing and Controls testing
   1. Determination of test scripts, test plan and sampling methodology based on control frequency
   2. Testing controls for design effectiveness and operating effectiveness
   3. Identification of gaps, deficiencies, and areas of improvement in process and controls
   4. Detailed documentation of evidence obtained, testing results, and recommendations
   5. Support management in remediation efforts and provide guidance on control improvements
   6. Support internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and insights

Responsibilities

1. Work collaboratively with colleagues across globe and assist to plan and conduct testing as appropriate on a day-to-day basis
2. Responsibility in creating or maintaining up-to-date procedures for own role the library of procedures used by the wider teams
3. Proactively anticipate and provide solutions and recommendation to complex data and control issues which will involve frequent interaction with senior business and engineering leads
4. Maintain a broad knowledge of the Firm s business and regulatory framework in which it operates and determine relevance and applicability
5. Analysis of regulations and internal rules for each review topic.
6. Identification key controls for each review topic, engage with key stakeholders within relevant lines of business and with relevant control function team members
7. Creation of test strategies to verify controls and confirm compliance with applicable rules and policies
8. Interviews with business & engineering teams responsible for a particular area and review of working materials, to test controls
9. Raise appropriate recommendations for system and control enhancements and formally agree associated action plans
10. Formally document review activity and raise findings / observations and following a issue management and quality assurance process, submit to senior management
11. Develop Business and Engineering Partnerships to keep abreast of current business developments and regulatory issues that may impact the risk environment of the Firm
